Digestive System

Gastroenterology is the medical specialty of the digestive system.  Training in gastroenterology includes several years of experience after general medical school education.  These years of training enable us to become digestive health specialists.

Our specialty training develops knowledge in the diagnosis and treatment of digestive problems.  In addition,we acquire the skill to perform digestive procedures such as endoscopy and colonoscopy.

You should have a primary care physician to care for your non-digestive problems.

Our physicians are on staff at Methodist Medical Center.  We provide consultations at the hospital when requested by other physicians.  Since we only treat digestive problems, hospitalized patients are usually managed by one of the hospitalist physicians.  In addition, we perform some procedures at Methodist Medical Center.
