Procedure Scheduling Staff

Instructions will be given before your appointment at the endoscopy center.  Of course, you will need a driver.  Please bring your insurance card and any needed co-pay or deductible.  If you cannot keep your appointment, please notify us in advance.  If you fail to notify us within 48 hrs, you may be billed a missed appointment fee of $150.

After signing in, you will review and sign paperwork.   A small intravenous (IV) catheter will be placed. Your physician will see you, and sedation will be given for your comfort.

Procedures usually last 30 minutes.  After the procedure, you will be sleepy and may not remember the procedure. Your physician will speak with you and your family (if you wish) after the procedure. 

Once you are ready for discharge, our staff will take you down to your car.  Again, you cannot drive an automobile for 24 hours after the procedure and will need a driver to take you home.
